About Our FounderCross and Compass Education was founded by Isabelle Ahn, who is passionate about helping students grow academically and personally through a highly individualized approach to education. She holds a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. With 10+ years of experience supporting students across a range of subjects and levels, she tailors each session to the student’s learning style, goals, and needs. Whether working with students who need foundational support or those striving for academic excellence, the focus is always on building clarity, confidence, and strong habits for long-term success.
Isabelle believes that each student is created with unique gifts and potential, and that education is a meaningful part of their formation. This perspective shapes every session—encouraging students not only to succeed in their studies, but to develop discipline and a genuine appreciation for learning.
Through this approach, Isabelle aims to guide students toward becoming independent learners, confident individuals, and thoughtful leaders.
Outside of teaching, Isabelle enjoys reading, cooking, and volunteering at her parish.
